Stymied again!16/3/2025 Stymied again, this time because of rain! No play on Sunday, but with Benji and Georgie keeping a close eye on play, Thursday practice is popular, where we share favourite tips, tricks and sledges. Roll up at about 4 pm. All welcome. Registrations for our Forster Cup Mixed Triples on May 24th are complete. All 24 places are filled and we’re well advanced with the planning. Watch out for the raffle that will be drawn on the day. Great prizes.

Sunday games 2nd March3/3/2025 It was great to have Avis and Sandra back for their first games this year. They brought a beautiful March day with them, warm and sunny with a light breeze. A number of our members were contesting the Apollo Bay tournament, but a good contingent turned up for the usual three games. Before play, Maxine from the Bendigo club was awarded her welcome gift, a bottle of Whiplash White, one of the club's (in?)famous house wines. Our Forster Cup mixed triples tournament has had to be moved to May 24th, so there's now plenty of time to get your team together. After all was done and dusted, only two players won their 3 games, Andrew and Sandy, with Col taking third place. Everyone is welcome to join an active group on Thursdays at 4 pm to try out new techniques and tactics together with some internal coaching. Next club games on March 16th. Sunday 16/02/2025 report16/2/2025 We finally got to play, the first games for 2025 after the previous 3 scheduled games had to be called off because of the excessive heat.
Sunday 16th Feb.13/2/2025 FINALLY! Games are a goer for this Sunday. All welcome, just arrive about 12:30 to register for the random draw. Games start at 1:00. Prizes for winners.
Vale Mike Forsyth9/2/2025 We are all saddened to hear from Beverley that her husband, Mike, died peacefully on Saturday. Mike was a great supporter of the club; he helped out at our Triples tournament, took wonderful photos of petanque action at our club games and was ever friendly and ever cheerful. A great bloke. |
