Pétanque is a great game for people of all ages and abilities. At its simplest level, it’s easy to play and there aren’t many rules. At a higher level, pétanque can be a game requiring good ball skills and a strategic frame of mind.
Whether you’re playing at a basic or an advanced level, pétanque is always an enjoyable sport. At the Maldon Petanque Club, we welcome new members. We will provide boules for you to come and try, and team you up with experienced club players to show you the ropes.
Come and join us for a free trial and when you complete it and play your first games, you'll be presented with a bottle of the Club's special wine - red, white or rosé!

Pétanque
Pétanque (P'tonk), the game of boules, began in Southern France and is now played by millions worldwide. The game is growing like wildfire in Victoria. It's less formal than bowls, more stylish than bocce and can be as social or competitive as you like. Quick and easy to learn; you don't need a lot of gear.
A Game for all Ages
Pétanque is a family game where gender, age and physical prowess have very little to do with success. Skill and cunning need time to develop!
